Report of the third JC of 06/12/2024, the PhenoGeno project

 

The third meeting of the Journal Club (JC) within the PhenoGeno project was held on Friday, December 6. The topic of the meeting was the scientific paper "Nuclear Genetic Control of mtDNA Copy Number and Heteroplasmy in Humans" (Gupta et al., 2023). During the meeting, a productive discussion was held that covered key topics related to the connection between mito-nuclear interactions and mtDNA. Numerous points of interest were identified that will serve as guidelines for further work on the project, and potential challenges and approaches for improving the research were discussed.
