Report of the ninth GAbridge project journal club, July 15th, 2025

 

The ninth GAbridge project journal club took place on Tuesday, July 15th. Professor Vlatka Čubrić Čurik presented the paper "New finds of European bison identified through the systematic DNA-based species identification of archaeological remains of large bovines from Scandinavia" (Rosengren et al., 2023). The methodology and concept of this work are extremely close to the work of the GAbridge research group, the methods and analysis strategy used by the authors were discussed in detail, comparing them with our previous approach and future strategies.
