Report from Animal Science Days, Nitra, Slovakia, September 23rd-26th 2025

 

The 33rd Animal Science Days conference took place at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia, from September 23rd to 26th. PhD student Ivana Keršić gave an oral presentation "Inheritance of cattle coat color in Croatian indigenous breeds" in the section "Animal Genetics/ Genomics", for which she won the award for the best oral presentation ("Best Oral Presentation") in the section. The topic of the doctoral dissertation, GAbridge project, and the first results of the analysis of polymorphisms of genes for coat color in Croatian autochthonous breeds of cattle were presented.
