Report of the thirteenth GAbridge project journal club, December 9th, 2025

 

The thirteenth GAbridge journal club meeting took place on Tuesday, December 9th, 2026. PhD student Ivana Keršić presented the paper "Ancient genomes illuminate the origins and dynamic history of East Asian cattle" (Cai et al., 2025). The paper is important as a study with a large number of new ancient cattle samples from East Asia within the last 10,000 years, and the group first discussed which samples we could include in our own analysis sets. The methods and bioinformatic pipelines used in the paper were also discussed, comparing them with our current pipelines.
