Genome Reading: A New Dimension in Animal Breeding
The Open Day at the Faculty of Agriculture was held on May 15th from 9:00 to 17:00, and members of our research group from the Department of Animal Science participated by exhibiting "Reading the Genome: A New Dimension in Animal Husbandry". This exhibition presented materials, equipment and procedures for animal genetics research on modern and ancient DNA. Visitors were able to see bones of various domestic animals, protective equipment for working in an archaeogenetic laboratory, a 3D scanner and could try their hand at pipetting solutions with automatic micropipettes.
